About our privacy policy

Bling-it cares about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.

This privacy policy applies to use of the website and the services offered through it by Bling-it and was updated on 11 July 2026. It explains what data we collect, why we use it, who we may share it with, how we protect it and what rights you have.

If you have questions about our privacy policy, you can contact our privacy officer; you will find the contact details at the end of our privacy policy.

About data processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we (have it) stored, what security techniques we use, and who has access to the data.

Webshop software – Bling-it

This webshop runs on software managed by Bling-it. Account, cart, order and return data is processed in our protected database. Sensitive customer and address fields are stored encrypted and access is limited to authorized administrators.

Web hosting – MijnDomein

We use web hosting and email services from MijnDomein. MijnDomein processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. MijnDomein has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to prevent loss and unauthorized use of your personal data. MijnDomein is bound by confidentiality under the agreement.

Email and mailing lists – ZeptoMail

We use ZeptoMail for transactional email and newsletters. We share the email address, the name where necessary and the content required to deliver the message. Newsletters are sent only after subscription and every newsletter contains an unsubscribe option.

Payments – Mollie

We use Mollie for payments. We send Mollie the order number, amount, currency and information required for the selected payment method. Mollie processes payment details as an independent service provider; Bling-it does not store full bank or credit-card details.

Product reviews

Product reviews are processed within the webshop. Only customers who demonstrably purchased the product can submit a review. Reviews are moderated before publication and do not display an email address.

Shipping and logistics – PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our task to have your package delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL for deliveries. For this purpose, it is necessary that we share your name, address, and residence details with PostNL. PostNL uses this data only for the performance of the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL will also make your data available to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting – Administratiekantoor Diana de Rijk

For our administration and bookkeeping, we use the services of Administratiekantoor Diana de Rijk. We share your name, address, residence details, and details regarding your order. This data is used for administering sales invoices. Your personal data is transmitted and stored securely. Administratiekantoor Diana de Rijk is bound by confidentiality and will treat your data confidentially. Administratiekantoor Diana de Rijk does not use your personal data for purposes other than those described above.

External sales channels – Bol.com

We sell (part of) our products through the Bol.com platform. If you place an order through this platform, Bol.com shares your order and personal data with us. We use this data to process your order. We treat your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorized use.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of processing

We use your data to fulfil orders, payments, delivery, returns, customer service, security and legal administration. We use newsletters and marketing measurement only with your consent. We share data only with service providers required for these purposes or where a legal obligation requires it.

Automatically collected data

The website processes technical data such as IP address, browser, device characteristics, visited URL and session data for security, troubleshooting and operation of the webshop. Analytics and marketing data is processed only within the categories to which you have consented.

Cooperation with fiscal and criminal investigations

In certain cases, Bling-it may be legally required to share your data in connection with fiscal or criminal investigations by the government. In such a case, we are compelled to share your data, but we will oppose this within the possibilities the law offers us.

Retention periods

We retain account and order data for as long as necessary for the agreement, service, warranty, returns and legal obligations. Financial documents are retained for the applicable tax retention period. Technical integration logs are deleted after 90 days by default. After account deletion we anonymize the profile, while information we are legally required to retain remains protected in invoices and orders.

Your rights

Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights regarding the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. We explain below what these rights are and how you can exercise them. In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies of your data to the email address we already have on file. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or for example by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of processed requests; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we record anonymized data. You will receive all copies of data in the machine-readable data format we use within our systems. You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of access

You always have the right to access the data we (have) process(ed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a copy of all data to the email address we have on file, together with an overview of the processors who have this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

Right to rectification

You always have the right to have the data we (have) process(ed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you rectified. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the email address we have on file that the data has been amended.

Right to restriction of processing

You always have the right to restrict the data we (have) process(ed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you a confirmation at the email address we have on file that the data will no longer be processed until you lift the restriction.

Right to data portability

You always have the right to have the data we (have) process(ed) that relates to you or can be traced back to you processed by another party. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send you copies of all data about you that we have processed or that has been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf to the email address we have on file. In all likelihood, we will not be able to continue the service in such a case, because the secure linking of databases can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Bling-it. If you object, we will immediately cease data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is well-founded, we will make copies of data we (have) process(ed) available to you and then permanently cease processing. You also have the right not to be subject to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe this is the case, please contact our privacy officer.

Cookies

Google Analytics

Google Analytics is loaded only after you consent to statistics. We use it to obtain aggregated insight into use of the webshop. You can withdraw your choice at any time through the cookie settings.

Third-party cookies

Meta Pixel and TikTok Pixel, including related server-side conversion events, are used only after marketing consent. Event data, order value, product IDs, IP address, browser data and hashed contact details may then be provided to Meta or TikTok for measurement and deduplication. Without marketing consent these pixels are not loaded and we do not send these server events.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right to change our privacy policy at any time. However, you will always find the most recent version on this page. If the new privacy policy has consequences for the way we process data we have already collected regarding you, we will inform you by email.
